This was May at EchoUser

EchoUser's monthly round-up of adventures in and out of the office

Somehow, just like that, it's almost summer. Maybe time flies so quickly because we pack our months full at EchoUser. Here are some of our highlights from May: Alongside our friends from Oracle and Studio Fathom, we hosted a Wearable Tech Design Jam in the EchoUser office. We've got lots still to say about the event, but for starters, check out the intro slideshow that got us inspired and glimpse our design toolkit below.
Fearless leader Mick McGee told a snippet of his triathlon story and landed in the official program for the Wildflower triathlon. We got to know yet another honcho here, getting Design Director Rally Pagulayan to spill some of his best design stories. We did some user testing of UserTesting, beefing up our unmoderated research skills along the way. And we also:
  • Had grand adventures all up and down the California coast — hiking Mendocino's Lost Coast Trail (above), exploring Pismo Beach, Carmel, and Santa Monica, camping in Big Sur and at Butano State Park, climbing and adventuring in Bishop, and excavating fossils (!) at Seacliff State Beach in Santa Cruz. (What can we say? We're an outdoorsy crew.)
  • Raced and cheered for the Wildflower Triathlon at Lake San Antonio and got dressed up for good ol' Bay to Breakers here in San Francisco
  • Traveled to Colorado, Florida, and Pennsylvania for work, and to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Oregon for pleasure
  • Met a friendly fellow at Maker Faire
  • Celebrated life's milestones (marriages! babies! moving!) with good friends
  • Climbed many, many things
On to June!
