We sketched conferences, won hackathons, and road-tripped through the west. Here's a bit of what we got up to in April:

- Design intern Seiko Ikatura went to the NestGSV + AT&T Wearables Hackathon in Redwood City — and her team won the Pebble category! Here's what she learned about wearables, hackathon planning, and teamwork from her experience.
- Designer Joanne Wong attended the TYPO San Francisco conference and shared it with the rest of us in hand-lettered form. (More here and here)

- We shared our thoughts about the bigger meaning of Twitter's new profile and tips for creating depth in flat design.
- We got to know one of our fearless cofounders a little better — and celebrated the birthday of the other one with a surprise "meat cake."
And we also:
- Traveled to Florida, Georgia, Las Vegas, Yosemite, Pennsylvania, New York, and Portland
- Had stellar athletic adventures at a half-marathon in Marin, a triathlon in Half Moon Bay, and a hockey game in Philadelphia
- Heard about the future of wearables and attended other UX talks
- Camped in Muir Woods and tracked down waterfalls in Big Sur
- Swung from a rope swing high above San Francisco
