Over this long weekend, you'll be picnicking, grilling, enjoying some extra rest, and reading these links, right? Right? Though we wonder if too much gesture control would make our arms super-tired, we admit that a hands-free device like the new Leap might help us fulfill all our Tony Stark/Minority Report fantasies. Berlin is user-testing its new airport with 10,000 "passengers" boarding fake planes, losing fake luggage, and acting like fake unaccompanied minors. Here's hoping they get all the kinks out soon; the airport opening has been delayed (again!) till 2013. In support of Twitter's Fail whale, or: Why maybe you shouldn't use your own logo in the error message when something goes wrong with your product. A fascinating look at the patent marketplace (and a fitting counterpart to last year's related This American Life episode, an oldie but a goodie).
